About Premier Academy

Since it was founded in 1991, Premier Academy has stood by its goal of helping children gain entrance into the most prestigious universities nationwide. From our first campus in Hacienda Heights to subsequent locations in San Marino , West Covina, Walnut and Chino Hills, we have provided a quality educational experience for communities of Southern California . At this juncture, we would like to thank all the parents and students who have supported us over the years. Your love and encouragement has motivated our staff to provide the best service possible to the students of our communities.

The Chinese have a saying: "May our sons become dragons and our daughters become phoenixes." For many, the hope that their children will succeed includes the desire for them to achieve an exemplary college education. However, colleges in the United States are becoming increasingly difficult to gain entrance to, especially for an immigrant population unfamiliar with American culture, values, and college entrance procedures. Many students miss the opportunity to gain entrance to many colleges not because they are not intelligent but because they do not know what steps to take. Premier Academy 's goal is to serve the community by providing valuable college entrance information which students may not have received from their families or schools. Ultimately, we hope that this will result in more of the students of our communities receiving admittance to this nation's top universities. We at Premier Academy fully believe that a solid educational foundation is a child's most powerful asset in succeeding in any society. Besides academics, an educational foundation requires a firm foundation in a society's culture. First generation Chinese immigrants, referred to as American Born Chinese (ABCs), often find American culture as difficult to grasp as academic excellence. ABCs must absorb both the Chinese culture of their family and the American culture which surrounds them. A child may have difficulty achieving a balance at first, but every immigrant child has the chance to learn the best of both cultures. Premier Academy aids a child in doing so by providing cultural stimulation and encouragement from all its instructors to teach students about the culture and language of this country.

The success of a child's education depends greatly on his or her teachers. Premier Academy 's staff of teachers includes graduates of the nation's most prestigious universities including Harvard, Yale, and most of the University of California (UC) campuses. In addition to holding top degrees, many of our teachers have years of experience teaching within our local school districts. They are passionate about educating this country's youth and have helped many of our students matriculate into the colleges of their dreams over the years. Premier Academy 's graduates include students that have gained admission to Harvard, Yale, West Point , and all of the UC campuses. These students exemplify our hopes and wishes for all our students, and their achievements make us proud of them and ourselves. The present state of a student's academics is not Premier Academy 's only concern but the student's future is also a great concern of ours. This is why we believe it is our responsibility to strive for balance in all aspects of a child's development. A child's life should include a healthy range of extracurricular and social activities outside of school. In addition to doing well in school, a child should develop love of knowledge and a curiosity about the world beyond textbooks. At Premier Academy , we want to gauge and cultivate each child's aptitudes and interests, and to encourage learning beyond the classroom setting. In this way, we feel we can better foster a child's future to include academic success as well as health and a positive outlook in life.

Premier Academy has achieved many of its goals over the years, and we would like to thank the parents and the students who have trusted us with their educations. While we are proud of the accomplishments of those we have helped, we are continuously seeking ways in which to improve our services and programs. Our ultimate goal is to have complete service-provision for our students, and we hope that we will have the community's ongoing support in the coming years as we continue to help a greater number of students work toward obtaining a successful future.
